Blackjack Rules
When playing blackjack there are a few things you should keep in mind. First of all you should always choose a place where you are comfortable at because distractions can be very detrimental to your game. You need to have a sharp mind while playing blackjack as it requires not just luck but skill. Once you decide which table or which online casino you will be playing at you can now place your wager.
Bets are usually placed with chips at a regular land based casino and with money at an online casino. All bets must be placed before the game begins. After bets are placed, the dealer deals out two cards to each player from the deck of cards assigned to the game. The amount of decks used in a blackjack game is determined by the amount of players in the game. The more players there are the more decks are required to ensure that every one gets a fair chance at obtaining the "right" cards.
The dealer is always dealt last and holds one card facing up and one down. This is sometimes called the "House Account". Once you have received your two cards you have one goal: beat the dealer by getting 21 or as close to 21 as possible and making sure the number is higher than the dealers. The maximum card combination you can get is an Ace with any face card (K, Q, or J) called a Blackjack which is an automatic win and the highest form of 21.
